Italian Day at Preston Market

After a three-year hiatus, Melbourne’s multicultural melting pot, Preston Market, welcomes back Italian Day. (Free Event)

11am – 3pm

Everyone’s favourite northside market will transform into an Italian fiesta with free activities, cooking demonstrations, tastings, live entertainment, and Italian dishes from pop-up food stalls and regular Italian traders.

The stage will be jam-packed with an incredible line of entertainment from Italian Musicians; Tony Villela, No Limits band, Il duo italiano, singer Tony Marchi and more! Plus ‘eccitante’ performance by dance group Melbourne School of Tarantella.

Eventgoers can expect delicious food from pop-up food stalls including Allora Gelato, Les Crepes Gourmandes, Rustic Bean Café and more. Ex-MasterChef contestant Amir Manoly returns from a four-month holiday in Italy to share his Italian cooking skills at his cooking demonstrations. Free tastings will be available.

Families will love the family-friendly activities on offer including face painting, balloon twisting, Venetian mask making and fun Italian themed crafts including cookie decorating.
